Privacy Policy for Tider
Effective date: July 15, 2026
Tider ("Tider," "we," "us," or "our") is developed by Delos Creator Hub. This Privacy Policy explains what information Tider collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. By using Tider, you agree to the practices described here.
If you have questions, contact us at hello@delos.com.vn.
1. The short version
- Your photos and videos are processed on your device only. Tider never uploads, transmits, or stores the contents of your photo or video library on any server.
- We use Sign in with Apple (optional) and Firebase to keep a small amount of account and usage data in sync — things like how many photos you've deleted and your Magic Scan credit balance, never the photos themselves.
- Tider shows ads to free-tier users through Google AdMob and asks for tracking permission to personalize them; you can decline and keep using the app.
- Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple's App Store — Tider never sees or stores your payment details.
- You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app.
The rest of this document explains all of that in detail.
2. Information Tider accesses on your device
2.1 Photo library access
Tider requests access to your Photos library (via Apple's Photos framework) so that it can:
- Display your photos and videos so you can review them.
- Delete photos and videos you choose to remove (every deletion goes through Apple's own system confirmation — Tider cannot delete anything without that confirmation).
- Mark photos as favorites.
- Run Magic Scan, which groups visually similar photos so you can quickly find duplicates or near-duplicates to clean up.
Magic Scan runs entirely on your device. It uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to compare photos and does not send any photo, video, thumbnail, or derived image data to Tider's servers or any third party. If a photo is stored only in iCloud (e.g. because "Optimize iPhone Storage" is enabled), iOS may download the original from your iCloud Photos library to your device before Tider can analyze it — that download is handled by Apple's iCloud sync, not by Tider.
We do not access your camera, microphone, location, or contacts. Tider does not request these permissions.
2.2 App Tracking Transparency
Tider may ask for permission to track you across apps and websites (via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework), which is used to show more relevant ads. You can decline this prompt — Tider will still work normally, and you'll see non-personalized ads instead.
3. Information collected via account features (optional)
Signing in is entirely optional — Tider works fully without an account. If you choose to sign in with Sign in with Apple, here's what happens:
- Apple may share your name and email address with us (or Apple's private relay email, if you choose to hide your email) — this is passed through to our authentication provider, Firebase Authentication, to create your account. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
- We compute and store a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of Apple's stable, anonymous user identifier for your account. This hash is used solely to prevent abuse of one-time signup bonuses (e.g. someone repeatedly deleting and recreating accounts to claim free credits). It cannot be reversed to reveal your Apple ID.
- We store a small set of usage statistics tied to your account, used to power in-app features like your "Tider Score":
- Number of photos/videos deleted (manually and via Magic Scan)
- Estimated storage space freed
- Number of Magic Scan bundles reviewed and photos scanned
- Magic Scan credit balance and which one-time credit rewards you've claimed (e.g. rating the app, sharing the app)
None of this includes the content of your photos or videos — only counts and totals.
This data is stored using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), a third-party service we rely on for account infrastructure. Firebase's own privacy practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
4. Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how people use Tider so we can improve it — for example, how many photos are deleted per session, or how often Magic Scan is used. These events include counts and feature-usage flags; they do not include the contents of your photo library. Where an event is tied to your account, it may include the anonymous hashed identifier described in Section 3, but never your raw Apple ID, name, or email.
5. Advertising
Free-tier users may see ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) — if you've granted tracking permission — to show ads relevant to your interests. If you decline tracking permission, you'll see non-personalized ads instead. Google's advertising and privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.
Subscribing to Tider Pro removes ads entirely.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Tider offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions ("Tider Pro"), sold and processed entirely through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Tider never receives or stores your payment card details, billing address, or other payment information — all billing is handled directly by Apple under Apple's own privacy and payment terms.
7. Data retention and deletion
- Local data (your photos, favorites, app preferences) stays on your device and in your iCloud Photos library as managed by Apple; deleting the app or its data through iOS Settings removes what's stored locally.
- Account data (the statistics and credit balance described in Section 3) is retained for as long as your account exists, or as needed to provide the service.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings within the app. This permanently deletes your Tider Score, Magic Scan credit balance, and Firebase account. One exception: we retain the anonymous hashed identifier described in Section 3 (not tied to your name, email, or any other personal data) after account deletion, solely to prevent repeat abuse of one-time signup rewards.
8. Children's privacy
Tider is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@delos.com.vn and we will delete it.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app (viewing your stats, revoking tracking permission, deleting your account) or by contacting us at hello@delos.com.vn.
10. Third-party services
Tider relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Apple (Photos, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, App Tracking Transparency) | Photo access, authentication, payments, tracking permission | apple.com/legal/privacy |
| Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics) | Account infrastructure, usage analytics | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Advertising | policies.google.com/privacy |
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
